"Let us put our hearts and minds together and see what future we can make for our children."
-- Sitting Bull (Hunkpapa Lakota Oyate)
Standing Rock is still standing strong through freezing temperatures, bravely holding the prayer for our water, our earth and our children’s future.
This prayer for water is a prayer for all life. On January 28th, we have the opportunity to be a part of history by uniting our global community in this prayer.
The week after the inauguration we are taking action to amplify the prayer from Standing Rock around the world to show that this is not over, indigenous peoples rights can no longer be violates and empowered as one, we can make change. We will continue to stand, to pray and to meditate to elevate the consciousness of the financial institutions, governments and corporations funding oil extraction around the world by asking that they make the choice to invest in clean renewable energy, the future of our planet, and protect the rights of all people.
We are ready to FLOOD THE BANKS with our PRAYERS to show the world that UNITED WE RISE.
Indigenous Youth have led the Standing Rock movement, carried the prayer for our water and have organized actions around the country to defund DAPL. In solidarity we are organizing a global prayer action that will be broadcast live from Standing Rock as we take this prayer to the steps of the Banks around the world.
We are calling on you to stand with us, organize with us and pray for the our collective future. We are connecting activists, advocates, actors, musicians, artists, media, environmental organizations, educators and prayerful people to join our Indigenous Leaders and Water Protectors in amplifying this prayer to our global family.
